Paul A. Romsky Jr. - Musical Instrument ROM Card Programmer GUI

The GUI will run only on a PC with Microsoft Windows XP and up
operating systems.
This is NOT and Android Application nor will it run on Apple
operating systems.

This is a prelimary version of the GUI that is under development.

The GUI is designed to write (program) and read low cost custom aftermarket ROM Cards that are based on Flash EEPROMs (that can be re-programmed if needed). The ROM Cards ae being developed in a joint effort between Paul Romsky and Scott Affleck. Scott is creating the Korg M1 PCM Samples and the Yamaha DX7 Voices for these Cards. Paul is creating the Card hardware designs including custom PWBs with plastic cases, a Programming GUI, and a Programmer (and reader) for the Cards.

The plan is for Scott to develop Samples and Voices working with musicians worldwide (details on how that will be done is pending). Scott will build the ROM cards and program the Cards for the end users (musicians). Since most users are not interested in going through the arduious process of creating Samples and Voices from scratch, the ROM Cards will be sold pre-programmed and thus Plug-N-Play ready. There is no plan for users to program their own Cards - but that may be a possibility and the user would need to purchase blank ROM Cards and a Programmer - but for now this is not an option.

This GUI, along with the Programmer, will support Korg M1 PCM Sample ROM Cards and Yamaha DX7 Voice ROM Cards (Cartridges). Each will have the provison for the standad size ROM Cards, or larger Cards that are banked into an expanded 8 times the memory. However, only the standard size ROM Cards will be supported at first.
